You know that old saying that we all have heard, and most of us swore we would never do?
What saying?
"You will marry someone just like your dad."
In some ways my husband is just like my dad. He loves to spend time with Zane, just like my dad spent time with me and my brother. They relax by staying busy (weird I know and I don't understand it). They can think about things a little too much. They LOVE to tease and play jokes. But I think the worst part about all of it is when they get together. You see, here in the furnace of America it is really hard to find things to do with a 3.5 year old that is cost effective. Then you add to that two grown men. Normally they would have gone to play golf, but when it is 115 degrees out I would not wish that on my worst enemy. But they do find stuff to do to get them into "trouble" or more like, modify the house in some way. Two years ago, when I was pregnant with Micah they built the fountain (see picture). At the time I was completely frustrated and did not see why they would spend hours out in the sun digging, drilling a hole through a rock and everything else they did. Six months later, I am glad they did.
So this year, I don't know if I will be glad they did this one. It involves water, a modification to the house and pressure. I just think that this is silly! But the boys seem to like it and had fun doing it.
Putting the finishing touches on
What is this contraption? It is a "waterfall". Here is the mastermind enjoying his finished product. Well almost finished, he "needs" more holes.Look close and you can see the water coming down.
