It is 110+ outside and so hard to find stuff to do that will not involve heat stroke. I have a really hard time in the afternoons. It is so easy in the cooler months to send Zane outside to play while I get dinner together. But it is really hard now. However, I am trying to get ideas together that will also teach him some fundamental skills. One thing that I pulled back out was our lunch tray. I put shaving cream in it and he loved it. However, instead of just his fingers he insisted on putting his monster trucks in it. What is nice is that the tray keeps the shaving cream contained (to a point) and it is easy to clean up (take all pieces to the shower) after wards.
The Start! So far so good.
Figured out that
So much fun
And so proud of himself!
Hey this lasted for almost 30 minutes and he was happy doing it. Then clean up was REALLY easy!

What a great idea. He looks like he is having so much fun. :o)
LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE it! :)
I've done the shaving cream before in the tub and seen people do it at the kitchen table, but I've never thought of 'containing it' at the table! I might just give that a try! :)
